Quick fact: we're in a "reverse job market"
Have you heard about the “reverse job market” at all?
Many experts are saying that we’re in a place right now (in North America at least) where there’s a significant shortage of suitable candidates for many roles in many industries.
I’ve written about this before but I’m not sure most people fully understand what this means for talented, ambitious professionals.
It means this:
>>> There are more job openings than qualified candidates
>>> It’s a GREAT TIME to further your career goals
>>> It could be the perfect time to ask for a promotion and/or a raise (so your employer can retain you)
>>> It could be time to look for another, better job and up-level your career in the process
So my question to you is this:
ARE YOU OPEN FOR BUSINESS?
Are you actively looking for “new business” for yourself in your career?
Are you taking advantage of this current climate to advance your career to your next level?
Are you marketing yourself to the best employers?
If not, what’s stopping you?
For my clients, what’s usually holding them back is a feeling, or the fear of experiencing an unwanted feeling.

For a business to thrive, they must market their products to the right target customer.
For a career to thrive, you must also “market” your product, in this case it’s you and the value and results you deliver.
You need to do this with your current employer if you want to get consistent raises and promotions.
You need to do this with prospective employers if you want to make a move.
And the timing couldn’t be better for anyone who’s looking to advance their career!
