Do you ever think back to an event that ended up completely changing the course of your life?

While I very much like to focus on the present moment and dream and plan for the future, it’s sometimes fun, and even enlightening to think back to the forks in the road that changed everything!

Most of us can think of such times where we made a decision in our life or career that took us on a completely different path.

I can think of several crucial decision points that had a profound impact on my career, you likely have some too:

>>> The time I almost didn’t apply for a role but I pursued it anyway and it led to an amazing sales career that shaped my life for years. 💫

>>> The time when I declined 2 job offers, took on another role that was super fun and enriched my life in so many new ways. 🍗

>>> The time where I got laid off, was off for a year and decided to become a certified life coach, talk about life changing! 🤩

At each fork in the road, and many other points in between, I used a coach to help me through tough times, making big decisions and making major life changes.

I was lucky to have a coach in my life from the day I was born… yep, my mom’s an amazing coach 🤪

And, I was fortunate in my corporate career to work for a company that valued coaching so much that they hired an executive coach for me, as a new leader/manager and I worked with him for about 18 months. So grateful for that experience that completely transformed my leadership style!

I personally have hired a dozen coaches over the last several years to help me with various goals, in different areas of life and one of the key things learned from this is that we all have blind spots.

Even when we’re the type of person who prides themselves in being able to figure things out, who does their own research, who problem-solves daily, who has a circle of smart friends that can be sounding boards…

There’s NOTHING like having a coach that will…

→ Expertly listen to your situation, your goals, obstacles and pain points
→ Help you gain awareness of what’s going on in your brain, of what might be standing in your way
→ Shine a light on all sorts of options you might not have considered
→ Guide you to make your own powerful decisions
→ Encourage you to take action consistently and confidently
→ Show you how to map out a plan of action + support you executing it through all the failures that any worthy goal inevitably entails.
→ Believe in you and your capacity to achieve your goals, sometimes more than you’re believing in yourself

That’s the ENORMOUS value of coaching.

Would love your thoughts on this, have you worked with a coach, what were the benefits for you as a professional and/or for your life?
