As a woman, and as a career coach and mentor, I get fired up about money… the reason is that I encounter many people who are under-earning what they’re capable of earning. And, I also recently read a study that showed one of the many reasons why women today still make less than men on average is because….
WOMEN ARE LESS LIKELY THAN MEN TO NEGOTIATE FOR THEMSELVES!
This makes me sad and angry as I was fortunate enough to learn at an early age that there’s no reason why we shouldn’t earn on par with men (thanks for that one mom!).
And, I set on a path to learn how to negotiate better pay for myself in my twenties.
Fortunately, this is a learned behaviour and can be changed.
And this is helpful for the men out there too 🙂
