I came to the world of coaching after a sudden layoff that left me unexpectedly unemployed and very unprepared for the months of job search ahead of me.

Prior to launching my career coaching business, I made my mark in the corporate world.
Beginning my career as a Customer Service Representative, I soon realized my passion was in sales where I could work with customers more closely.
I quickly made the transition to sales management and rose through the ranks in Consumer Packaged Goods Companies. In one of my last roles, I successfully led the largest team in the company with several hundred employees in the sales division I was leading. I had a amazing team, loved coaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders and, enjoyed the rewards of earning a six figure income and what I thought was the “stability” of working for a company with a beloved brand and that had been in business for over 100 years.
Then, I got laid off.
For the second time in my career, the companies I worked for either closed up shop or downsized significantly. This time though, I was at a very senior level and had zero clue how to navigate today’s job market. Plus I felt like I got laid off at a time where there were so many other very qualified job seekers on the market, vying for the exact same jobs as I was. It was a very scary time.
Why should any of this matter to you?
I was suddenly out of work and had to quickly figure out how I would get back on my feet. At first, I started to follow the traditional job search strategies, I did that DILIGENTLY for months…
And that got me exactly ONE INTERVIEW!
One interview in months of job search? Yep. I did not understand how that could be possible. I had a stellar career up to this point, amazing experience with top companies and, numerous accomplishments and awards to boot.
What I didn’t know was hurting me in my job search and I realized I had to master new strategies and skills in order to get a new job. Once I did, things turned around very quickly. I started interviewing multiple times a week and eventually-
